We're performing again and this time...it's a big one! My dance company, Border Crossing Collective, is honored to be a part of City Parks Foundation's Annual SummerStage Festival. We are performing on Saturday August 20th at the East River Amphitheater* (map). There will be a FREE dance class at 7pm and showtime is 8pm. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.
We will be presenting our first full-length evening work, "¡Holy New York!," a collection of choreographic perspectives exploring the effects of a city relentless in energy and pace. The dancers weave through experiences, as the emotional manifestations of survival, love, addiction and a search for oneself is at times all consuming but always redemptive.

I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to our dancers, Laura Colon, Mone't Freeman, Sherille Grant, Michelle Lawton, Kafi Pierre, Emma Powers and Jennifer Whitley for all of their hard work and dedication. This would not have been possible without them. I'd also like to thank producer extraordinaire, Phantom Lover, for the use of some of his music and IsKwé for the use of her beautiful poetry.
Come on down and enjoy a night of dance under the stars. It is a show not to be missed.
